Today though, we’re here to talk about Athleta, known for its higher-quality athleisure and workout wear. It’s a great place to shop for travel day clothing, no matter where you sit on the pajamas-to-business-casual spectrum of dressing for a flight.

If you’re a sweats kind of traveler, it’s got you covered (I love the Forever Fleece high rise joggers). For something a little more put together and on trend, look to the wide-leg Seasoft mid rise pants. Those newer to the brand, or just not on the email list yet, can score a 15% off Athleta promo code by signing up for emails. Once you’re on the list, you’ll gain access to exclusive offers, new arrivals, private sales, and free in-store fitness classes. Up to 60% off Athleta clothing, plus an extra 30% off sale

Athleta’s Labor Day sale is live and with it are some seriously marked down pieces—the entire sale section is up to 60% off, with an added 30% off select items. (Of note, some pieces are final sale, meaning no returns are allowed.) Sale pieces include bestsellers like the Brooklyn mid-rise ankle pant and Seasoft mid-rise straight pant, which I love to fly in.

Athleta Rewards: How to earn rewards, including a 20% discount on your first purchase

Join the Athleta rewards program to access even more perks and ways of saving. The program has recently adjusted its tiers slightly to now include:

Core: Free to join, 5 points per dollar spent, free shipping on orders over $50, birthday bonus
Premier: 5 points per dollar spent, extended returns (up to 45 days), a create your own sale day, and birthday bonuses for family members
All-Access Cardmember: 25 points per dollar spent, free shipping on orders over $35, early access to special collections and drops, extended returns (up to 60 days), and even more special offers

It’s an easy yes to sign up for Core. For all three tiers, perks of the program include members only exclusive discounts; birthday discounts; and free shipping on all orders of $50 or more at Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta. All-Access Cardmembers also gain early access to sales.

Premier members (hit once your annual spend reaches $350) get a coupon every year for 15% off their purchase, and can choose what day to use it. A shopping spree might be in order, as this coupon can be used one time at each of the family of brands on the sale day, either online or in-store. They’ll also earn an extended return window—up to 45 days to make returns (take note that returns after 30 days receive merchandise credit).

Those who open an Athleta Rewards Credit Card will become an All-Access Cardmember and get an extra 20% off their first purchase, valid the first time you use your Athleta Rewards credit card so long as it’s within 14 days of account opening. The card has no annual fee and card users earn 25 points for every $1 spent across the family of brands (Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta). Core and Premier members earn 5 points for each $1 spent.

Of note, if you have a separate Mastercard, you can earn 15 points for each $1 spent in Athleta’s family of retail brands, and 5 points for each $1 spent everywhere else Mastercard is accepted.

What to do if your Athleta coupon code isn’t working

If an Athleta promo code isn’t working, there are a few things you can do. Start by double-checking for typos, extra spaces, or incorrect capitalization, all of which can prevent a code from applying correctly. You’ll also want to confirm that the code is still valid, as expiration dates, minimum spend requirements, and product exclusions can apply, and some offers are limited to first-time shoppers or are single-use only.
