FX’s hit show Adults, about five Gen Z friends juggling growing pains while living under one roof, has returned for its sophomore season.
The ensemble comedy follows an eclectic group of 20-somethings — Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Paul Baker (Jack Innanen), Issa (Amita Rao) and Anton (Owen Thiele) — all housemates in Samir’s childhood home in Bayside, Queens.
Season one tackled everything from a dinner party gone wrong to Anton befriending a man known as the Bayside Stabber. In the season one finale, Paul Baker, a Canadian with an expiring visa, married Anton to stay in the country. The episode ended by setting up a love triangle involving Anton, Paul Baker and Issa, his girlfriend.
A prequel episode, titled Marathon Day, centered
A prequel episode, titled “Marathon Day,” centered on how the group met Paul Baker, was released on July 31, ahead of the show’s return. Now, the gang is back, and per the season two synopsis, facing new predicaments, like meeting the inheritors of their fake IDs and interacting with family members that bring out their worst behaviors.

Season two of Adults premieres on FXX on-demand and Hulu on Thursday, August 27 at 9 p.m. EST. Separately, two episodes will drop each week on FXX, and the series will be available to stream on Disney+ internationally.

- Episode 8, “Vote for Paul Baker” (Finale) —Paul Baker runs for president of the Homeowners Association, and into an uncertain future.

To watch Adults, Hulu offers two subscription plans: Hulu at $11.99 per month and Hulu Premium at $18.99 per month. The biggest difference is that Hulu Premium has no ads and lets you watch titles offline by downloading them on supported devices. You can also watch the show through the Hulu and Disney+ bundle, which starts at $12.99 per month.
