A former Chick-fil-A employee named Keyshun Jones stole more than $80,000 from the chain after losing his job. Jones had worked at the Grapevine, Texas, location for seven years before he was ultimately fired.
The scheme revolved around mac and cheese.
“As good and delicious as our mac and cheese is, it is unfortunately one of our most expensive items,” Jones told the New York Post this week when asked why he chose that particular item, which costs about $100 a tray when ordered for delivery.

Texas police allege that Jones rang up catering-sized portions of mac and cheese after spotting an unattended register and refunded the orders to his personal credit cards, racking up around 800 phony transactions totaling roughly $80,000.
“Everyone thinks it was more premeditated, ‘Oh, I went in there with a plan.’ That was definitely not the case,” he toldThe Post.
