At long last, All In week has arrived. It’s the biggest show on AEW’s calendar, akin to WWE’s WrestleMania, and is set to return to Wembley Stadium for the first time since 2024.
Before that happens, the go-home episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday, Aug. 26. It featured the final build for All In, including the semifinal matches of the Continental Challenge Cup and final words from the talent involved in Sunday’s top matches.
So, what transpired? Let’s take a look:
- Will Ospreay opens the show. He says he had doubts about coming back from neck surgery to win the AEW World Championship. He says that long before AEW and NJPW, he started as a wrestler in the United Kingdom and talks about grinding there to prove it’s where the best wrestle. Ospreay names a number of British wrestling greats, including some who have passed away.
Ospreay says when you think of the best in the world, it’s hard to look past Kenny Omega. He says Omega isn’t here tonight, but wants him to know that no one respects him more. Ospreay says that respect disappeared after Omega mentioned his son last week.
Ospreay says that on Sunday, Omega will get the Billy Goat, and he’ll give everyone the performance of a lifetime.
Ospreay says it’s time to bring the AEW World Championship home, and Omega will help him show that heroes are extraordinary people who can do extraordinary things.
- AEW Continental Challenge Cup
Jon Moxley def. Claudio Castagnoli by submission to advance to the finals at All In. - Adam Copeland and the Young Bucks def. Brian Cage, Jake Doyle and Rocky Romero by pinfall.
After the match, Christian Cage walks onto the stage and says he doesn’t associate with people who are beneath him, referring to Matt and Nick Jackson. He says there’s a difference between being influential and being legends like he and Copeland.
Cage says Sunday will just be another match for him, and the Young Bucks will find out the difference between influence and legendary status.
Matt fires back by asking if anyone has ever named a company after Cage. He says last week’s superkick may have been an accident, but the next one won’t be. Cage then kicks Matt in the groin, Nick superkicks Cage, and Copeland reluctantly spears Nick to end the segment.
- As it appears Willow Nightingale is heading to the ring, cameras cut backstage to Mercedes Mone attacking her. Mone appears to injure Nightingale’s hand.
- Backstage, Don Callis says that at All In, no matter who wins the world title match, Mark Davis will roll through the Casino Gauntlet and bring the belt to the family.
- MJF comes out to the stage and insults Scotland. He says he paid off a few people to “warm up” Andrade El Idolo before All In, which is why he isn’t there.
MJF says he could do what El Idolo does while wearing a T-shirt and fake jewelry and proceeds to insult a woman in the crowd. As he goes to ask the crowd a question, El Idolo appears behind him, asks, “How you know?” and they brawl at ringside.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho says this week has AEW’s biggest stakes. He declares for the Casino Gauntlet, but before that, he’ll compete in a six-man tag team match on Collision this Saturday.

Nigel McGuinness def. Kyle O’Reilly by submission to advance to the finals at All In. - Backstage, Don Callis says there’s always competition among alpha athletes and that they should always “run the play” as called. He turns to Kyle Fletcher, who says he owes so much to Callis and is willing to “run the play” at All In. Kazuchika Okada approaches and says it’s about family and that Fletcher can trust him at All In. Fletcher questions that after being attacked by Konosuke Takeshita last week while Okada was nowhere around. Okada reiterates that it’s about family.
- Megan Bayne, Lena Kross and Persephone def. Maya World, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor by pinfall.
- A video package recaps last week’s segment between Darby Allin and Kevin Knight.
- Swerve Strickland def. Jack Perry by pinfall.
- A final video package plays for Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay at All In.
