It’s already begun: Dua Lipa has started her birthday celebrations early, kicking things off with some yacht shenanigans avec her siblings Rina and Gjin off the coast of Formentera. The Lipa clan were photographed enjoying the blue Balearic waters yesterday, taking turns jumping into the sea and posing for the camera. The pop star kept it Gucci in a leopard print bikini and matching crepe skirt, paired with thong sandals, oversized shades, and a cherry red Chanel shoulder bag.
Lipa has, of course, well established a killer vacation wardrobe, packed with string bikinis from With Jéan, Helsa sundresses, and statement accessories like that ultra-size nautical Chanel tote. In the last few weeks, she’s been spotted in Portofino and at a friend’s bachelorette, where she wore easy breezy pieces like a ruffled white Chloé co-ord and a shimmering blue Isabel Marant mini-dress.
The Balearics have long felt like Dua Lipa’s spiritual home: a scattering of islands where she can sprint through her next book club novel by the pool, eat some of the world’s best seafood, and rave until dawn. Last year, Lipa was spotted all over Ibiza’s cutest spots—from celebrity beach lunch hangout Jondal to DC10 superclub—flanked by her friends to make it a 30th birthday to remember.
Her birthday ’fit? A custom Jacquemus dress made of white sequins with extreme, side-caressing cut-outs. Having only just married Callum Turner in a starry Sicilian wedding back in June and already got back to the studio (inevitably cooking up some bangers for summer 2027) in New York and Stockholm, that’s not in anyway hindered her commitment to La Vacanza as a lifestyle. Her honeymoon—spent hopping from Palazzo Margherita in Basilicata, Villa Treville in Positano, and Hotel Il Pellicano in Tuscany—and annual expedition to her own Sunny Hill Festival were testament to that.
It looks like it’s going to be a fabulous weekend in Ibiza for Dua Lipa, friends, and family. We’ll just have to keep an eye on her Google Maps travel guide tips to mirror it for next summer.
