The Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT races will come to an end three days earlier than planned due to a forecast of wet and windy weather.
Organisers said they had to implement “a susbstantially revised schedule” due to the forecast for later in the week.
The closing day has been brought forward to Tuesday rather than Friday “following detailed consideration”, an event spokesperson said.
This was done “to make the best use of the more favourable conditions currently forecast between Saturday and Tuesday, providing the strongest available opportunity to complete the remaining Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT races”, they said.
“The long-range forecast currently indicates that conditions are expected to deteriorate significantly from Wednesday, with wet weather, significant rainfall, and wind expected until at least the end of the scheduled event period on Friday,” they added.
Qualifying for the events, which run parallel with each other in August each year, has been disrupted several times since the meeting started on Sunday.
Daytime qualifying sessions for the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT were pushed by three hours on Friday to allow roads to dry following heavy overnight rain.
