Season 4 of Reacherhas fewer eyes on Reacher than it does his co-star, a mysterious character named Lila Hoth, played by the Indonesian-born Agnez Mo.
Mo and her character have gone viral among fans, and her profile has been elevated to the point where she just hit #2 on IMDB’s Star Meter recently, ahead of Obsessionsensation Inde Navarrette, recently cast as Rogue in the MCU’s X-Men, and behind only the tragically departed Hayden Panettiere at #1.
Well, like fellow breakout star Navarrette, it seems Agnez Mo may want to get on the MCU X-Men team as well.
Mo has been responding to fans consistently
Mo has been responding to fans consistently as the Reacherseason presses on and endorsed a recent fan push that she should play Psylocke in the MCU. “Thanks! I’m just gonna put it out to the universe… Psylocke. @MarvelStudios @Marvel,” she said.
We don’t actually know if Psylocke will be a part of the first X-Men movie releasing May 5, 2028. There are no indications that’s the case, though of course, the character could appear elsewhere as the MCU expands with more and more X-Men. Previously, Psylocke was played by Oli
Many fans are surprised to learn that Mo is 40, as she looks far younger. The upcoming X-Men film is casting a very young team overall, though that’s not true of all its characters, of course. Adam Driver is 42 and will be playing Mr. Sinister. In any case, I don’t think it would matter in Mo’s case. One main difference between the character and a potential Mo portrayal is that Mo is Indonesian, whereas Psylocke is Japanese.
Agnez Mo’s Lila has gone some wild directions
Agnez Mo’s Lila has gone some wild directions in just four episodes of Reacherseason 4 so far (spoilers), changing her story three times now from having fake cancer to being a fake journalist to being what appears to be a very real, knife-wielding assassin who has butchered a half dozen characters in the season to date. It appears she is one of the true villains of season 4.
Mo’s time as an actress is limited, whereas she’s mainly known as a musician with a career spanning over two decades now. To see her Hollywood profile rocket this high, this quickly, is certainly something to watch. We will see if she maintains this level of interest as Reacherseason 4 goes on.
As for the X-Men, while we are probably not done hearing about cast members for that film yet, an introductory MCU film like that seems unlikely to introduce Psylocke. Then again, few would have predicted Emma Frost (played by Samara Weaving) would show up this early, so who knows?
