Shane Ginsberg’s childhood didn’t look like anyone else’s. His dad taught people how to sell on Amazon starting in 2003, and Ginsberg tagged along to the conferences.

“How do you go into a business conference with Kevin O’Leary when you’re thirteen, and you’re sitting in rooms with like half a million dollars cash, and then you have to go back to algebra one?” he told me. “I think that would do something to any kid’s brain.”
So he dropped out of eighth grade.
“It was the best decision,” he said. “Everything in my life has gotten me to this point.”

The craft behind those interviews is more disciplined
The craft behind those interviews is more disciplined than it looks, and it starts before a single question gets asked.
“The first three seconds of the interaction of approaching somebody on the street is honestly the most important,” he said. “You got to be smiling, charismatic, and just somebody that they’d want to have a conversation with. You just imagine that there’s no camera and you’re having real conversations with real people.”
