Goodles Is Getting Acquired by Barilla. Co-Founder Jen Zeszut Has a Message for Skeptical Customers

Zeszut says she will stay on as CEO as the Italian pasta company seeks to support the brand’s continued growth.

Goodles is getting acquired.
A deal between Italian pasta giant Barilla Group and Goodles, the mac-and-cheese brand that’s carved out a loyal following, is in the works. The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.
“We believe Goodles and Barilla are a natural fit, with shared values and complementary strengths,” Goodles co-founder Jen Zeszut told Inc.
Goodles, which was founded by Zeszut and Paul Earle, launched in late 2021 and sold out within two weeks. The noodles are made with added protein and fiber, along with nutrientsh no artificial flavors

“Your old mac could never,” the brand’s website reads.
This week, Zeszut explained that the company will retain its headquarters in Santa Cruz and “will continue to operate independently as a standalone brand, free to make its own decisions about product, recipes, quality, ingredients, suppliers, marketing and more.” Barilla will provide the company with guidance in international expansion.
Zeszut said that she will stay on as CEO and all employees will be retained.
