President Donald Trump has turned his anger on a European country he blames for not being honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump, 80, was speaking to supporters at a MAGA rally in Michigan on Sunday when he launched into a foul-mouthed tirade against Norway.
The Scandinareating peace, which was created following the wishes of the will of Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel, who is credited with inventing dynamite. However, Trump was furious he was not awarded the prize this year despite his claim he has “settled eight wars”
Speaking to his supporters ahead the crucial mid-term elections on November 3, Trump told the crowd: “I’m not in love with Norway. Frankly, Norway sucks.”
He added: “Norway has become a sh*thouse country, actually.”

Trump’s classification of sh*thouse country puts Norway alongside other nations he has given the dubious tag, including Somalia, Haiti and Yemen.
The US president is seemingly growing increasingly frustrated at not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, something he has campaigned to receive for two years now since becoming president for his second term in January, 2025.
Last year the prize went to Venezuelan opposition
Last year the prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who later ‘gave’ the award to Trump in the Oval Office in recognition for US military intervention in her country. But the Nobel committee said the prize was not transferrable.
This year the prestigious accolade was given to Navanethem “Navi” Pillay, a South African jurist and former UN human rights commissioner who once represented Nelson Mandela.
Trump described Ms Pillay, 85, as an unknown “liberal person” who “hates Israel”.

Also at the rally in Michigan was the so-called “Queen of Rap” Nikki Minaj, who is a keen Trump supporter. The global music star accompanied Trump on Air Force One heading to the rally on Sunday and took to the stage to share her support for the president.
Ms Minaj, 43, told the MAGA crowd that Trump had “changed the energy of the country” and “given us a future to look forward to”. In return the president praised Ms Minaj’s “beautiful ass”.
Trump was in Michigan to support the Republican candidate Mike Rogers who is facing-off in the race to become senator against the Democrat candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
